wow STOP editing the shots to every change in the music its annoying as hell to watch. Learn from your mistakes PLEASE the shots in this series are either WAYYY to long (im talking about the heli shots of riders bombing down hill sides) or so short if you blinked youd miss it. The riding looks good in this one but i have a strong feeling that its once again gonna be overshadowed by bad music and brutal editing
FALLEN55- your right. This edit blows. Why cant Bjorn learn how to make a good video. From the shots seen it looks just like the last video. Same locations, with the same riders doing the same old shit. Boring. I'll only see it because of the coastal crew and local Prince George ripper Kyle Norbraten.
Looks a bit over the top in my opinion. Yet another overly edited video of repetitive riding set to crappy techno from Bjorn Engna. Yay.
With that said, however, this does look like the best one so far, maybe actually worth owning?

Wanted to bring this up http://www.radical-films.com/#flashbox Kranked 4 teaser, from around 10 years ago (right?)...features the same overly edited clips.
I agree it is annoying only seeing a 1sec clip..but then again it is well edited to the music and the shots are fantastic too. tune is mentally good for this vid.
even though they are short do you really think the vid would sell if we saw all of the clips in the teaser!?

The edidting in those movies is terrible its just like the teasers, they make it choppy and cut a section of riding and make it like 4 different parts so its really hard to see any of the riding. The music in those movies is just horrible too.
people please shut up! Its a dope teaser! there is nothing wrong with it! It has flawless editing that obviously took a while to make. I'd know because i did the same type of editing before. There are short shots in teasers to make you want to watch more. so get over it already....
how about you shut up, if youd watched any of the recent kranked series youd know that this type of shit editing... and it is shit, is present in the films. It distracts from the riding and becomes an epileptics nightmare. The brutal music is also annoying. At least NWD understands cinematography, kranked should take notes or atleast watch the collective for true inspiration.
you have no idea what your talking about. and yes i have watched the recent kranked movie at a screening and it was good. Some of those shots were sick! and yes it might not par up to the collective... but who can? and before you say ohh NWD is up to par, they really arn't compared to the collective. Many people still like kranked's style and choice of music because if they didn't, then no one would buy them and kranked wouldn't be coming out with any new videos....... think about it champ.
Im not even gonna argue with you. If trucks flying off cliffs and being hit with rpgs along with 10 minute long shots of people riding down mountains is what you enjoy then go ahead and pay 30 bucks for it... personnally id rather watch a decent film worth the money, or atleast one that wont induce siezures

I'll take any of the Kranked movies over the overhyped stuff from the collective any day. All those movies just have way too much blah blah blah, and artsy fartsy garbage to be worth the money. But, that's just my opinion. Everyone likes differnt styles, how about you give people a break fallen, perhaps you have the brain damage.
so your telling me the retarded parts where people drive trucks off cliffs and then shoot rpgs at them is what youd rather watch than good cinematography with epic riding... the stereotype of hick americans is looking pretty accurate right now.
Its called entertainment. Relax and get off your computer, and your high horse, maybe if you rode more and didn't beat off to bike porn all the time you wouldn't say idiotic things like "hick american". But what am I saying, your 18, you know everything. Lets go to Diablo and see how many hick americans we run into from NYC, and hear your big mouth then, I bet you are the kind of kid that walks up every hill he sees and hits a jump twice n goes home to pretend he's the next slopestyle god. Have fun, douchebag. Its a vid, enjoy the fact that those guys rip harder, film better, and live the life that you cant even comprehend.
that is soooo bad ass i want it! i like how its got everything on it thenjust 1 thing like dh or fr its perfect.

This footage is pretty... and great riding of course... but I miss the Collective. They knew that good post-production is more than adding flashy graphics and cutting on the beat. As a digital media major, I just can't take all the oversaturated colors, gaussian blur around the edges and ADD editing. LESS MTV, MORE MTB!
Is The Collective done then, no more from them? If so, they will be missed! They put ALL other mountain bike videos to shame, they not only had the riding, they had the FEEL of it! Won't be buying this, borrow it maybe, but not gonna pay for more techno!
There was an article about it on PB quite a while ago. I don't have the details but from what I understand, they are doing other things and are not using the name "The Collective" anymore. I remember there was a video with some other random sports thrown in. Hopefully we'll still see some cool stuff coming from them, even if it's not necessarily mtb-focused. I mean, Jamie, Darcy and the original film by them are the reasons I'm a Digital Media Major!

I imagine the actual movie won't be as fast paced at this trailer was guys with shot after shot (at least I hope not)! In any case the cinematography was amazing, very clear and focused filming which is excellent! Great trailer in my opinion and I'm very much looking forward to the full-length film!

That looks sick. Some of the edits are really fast, but all that does is make me wanna see how they end and buy the move! Sick movie
it would be nice if there where a couple of shots longer than 1 sec. Poor editing. hopefully the movie is better than this. I'm sure it will be.

looks like it is gonna be a super sick video but it would be nice i some shots were longer then like one second
man thats RAD, cant wait for it to hit the shelves. i just hope they put as much effort into the actual movie as they have in the teaser
